Jacksam Yang's Award-Winning Hair Salon Design Transforms Cityscape into Secret Garden

Jacksam Yang's design is a unique blend of form and function. The salon, with its sky garden running through the aisle, welcomes guests into a serene space, away from the crowd. The layout, with its detailed golden touch-ups, extends upwards, creating a sense of space and tranquility. The botanic metaphors are expressed throughout the room, transforming the salon into a secret garden amidst the city's hustle and bustle.

The design's unique properties lie in its ability to capture the essence of a botanical image and translate it into an urban setting. The salon's design, with its mix and match style, beauty, SPA, planting, and simulation flowers, offers a unique experience that sets it apart from other hair salons.

The salon's realization involved the use of timber, brass, mirror, marble, custom fabric printing, and planting. The use of simulation flowers added a touch of nature to the space. The project, which spanned from August to September 2018, was executed in Taipei City, Taiwan.

The design's uniqueness and innovation have not gone unnoticed. In 2020, "Vibrant" was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award. The award, given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation, recognized the salon's strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill.
